Kairuku account information: when you create a Kairuku account, we collect your email address, username, password hash, display name, and optional profile customizations you provide. The account is branded for Kairuku and is hosted, administered, and controlled by Off Court Creations LLC.
Cross-game identity: the Kairuku account is designed to provide one sign-in across supported games developed by Kairuku Studios LLC. When cross-game access is enabled, we may use core identity, authentication, age or consent status, account-security state, and enforcement information to recognize and protect the same account across those games. Game-specific data is processed as described by the privacy notice applicable to each game; the Kairuku branding does not make Kairuku Studios LLC an independent controller of your account information.
Payment information: when you make purchases, Stripe processes payment method details, billing details, transaction data, and fraud prevention data. We do not directly store your full payment card details.
Communications: we collect support requests, correspondence, feedback, suggestions, and other information you voluntarily provide.
Gameplay data: we collect game progress, statistics, XP, currency balances, Penguin Pass or Crew Pass progress, match history, scores, time spent in games, inventory, cosmetics, and related gameplay state.
Session and technical data: we collect session identifiers, authentication tokens, device and connection information, active room or instance information, login timestamps, IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, referring URLs, pages and features accessed, and time and date of access.
Cookies and similar technologies: we use essential session cookies, local storage, and JWT tokens for authentication, reconnect state, preferences, and game functionality.
Third-party data: we may receive authentication status and user identifiers from Appwrite, and transaction confirmation or fraud prevention data from Stripe.
Guest users: if you use the Service as a guest, we assign a temporary connection identifier and display name. Guest gameplay data is not retained after your session ends.
We use information to create and manage accounts, authenticate identity, maintain sessions, process gameplay, synchronize game state, track progression, enforce single-device session policies, process purchases, and deliver virtual items.
We use information to improve and develop the Service, including usage analysis, bug fixing, technical troubleshooting, new feature development, game balance, mechanics, and operational research.
We use information to communicate with you, including service notifications, support responses, Terms or policy updates, and promotional communications where permitted and consented to as required.
We use information to ensure safety and security, including fraud detection, anti-cheat enforcement, abuse prevention, Terms enforcement, user safety, and legal compliance.

Licensed developer: Kairuku Studios LLC develops and supports the Service under license from Off Court Creations LLC. Where its personnel require access to personal information for development, maintenance, security, abuse prevention, incident response, or technical support, they process that information only for Off Court Creations LLC, under its instructions and subject to contractual confidentiality, security, purpose-limitation, and deletion obligations. Kairuku Studios LLC is not the data controller and may not use player information for its own independent advertising, sale, or unrelated purposes.
Other service providers: we use Appwrite for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing and fraud prevention, Mailgun for transactional email where enabled, and self-hosted infrastructure for game servers, web serving, storage, logging, monitoring, and operational systems. Our self-hosted servers are located in Bloomington, Indiana, United States. These providers and systems process only the information needed to provide their services to us or as otherwise disclosed at collection.
Other players: your display name, avatar, cosmetics, in-game presence, room activity, scores, and leaderboard rankings may be visible to other players.
Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, legal process, law enforcement request, government request, or to protect our rights, property, safety, users, or others.
Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, financing, or bankruptcy, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Consent: we may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
Account and gameplay data are retained while your account is active. Transaction history may be retained for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes, typically for seven years where applicable.
We may retain inactive account data for a reasonable period to allow account recovery. After extended inactivity, we may delete or anonymize data according to our retention schedules.
